About Us

BristolPike_View2Established in 1886, Eddington Presbyterian has been serving God and the community for over 130 years.  EPC is located in Bensalem, which is just northeast of Philadelphia, PA.  The church is on Bristol Pike, 1/2 mile north of Street Road. (Bristol Pike is right next to I-95 at that point.)  Coming from I-95, take the Street Road exit and turn to the west.  Then take the ramp to Route 13 (it comes up quickly!) Turn left at the light at the end of the ramp.  Go 1/2 mile and look for the Church on the left with the stone steeple.

Here we are on Google Maps!

At Eddington, we consider ourselves to be “The Friendly Place to Worship,” and we offer two different worship opportunities.  Well… three, actually.  At 9:00 we have Contemporary Worship, which is led by our Pastor and The Eddington Praise Band.  Our Band plays the latest in Contemporary Christian Music, as well as a number of original songs. Parents who worship at this time are encouraged to bring their children with them.

At 11:00 we offer our Traditonal Worship service, led by our Pastor, the Reverend George “Skip” Brecht. (See Bio under “Pastor’s Page.”) Also assisting in worship is Choir Director Adrienne Root, who leads our choirs, and plays the  “William H. Spicer Memorial Sanctuary Organ.”  Our Allen Organ was renamed in memory of William Spicer, our organist of over 50 years(!), who passed away in February of 2013.  We miss you, Bill!!  And Adrienne is filling in for our recent Organist “Honey” Kates, who passed away unexpectedly this year.  We miss you, too, Honey!

Then, roughly once a month, we have “Combined Worship” on Sunday morning.  Instead of our 9:00 and 11:00 services, we all worship together on those days at 10:00 AM.  In those combined services, we share in elements of both our worship styles.  The schedule of these Sundays can be found on the bottom left of our home page.  (Or click HERE)

Please take the opportunity to explore this website, and feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail. We would be delighted to respond to you and answer any questions you may have. If you are in the area, we encourage you to join us for worship. We will do everything we can to welcome you.
